Eddie Goines, star of Showtime’s ‘The Coalition’ and his one hour comedy/music special ‘The Time Is Now,’ has two films that he has written, produced and stars in that have been accepted into the LAShorts Fest. The LA Shorts Fest (www.lashortsfest.com) founded by Robert Arentz in 1997 ranks among the most prestigious and one of the largest international short film festivals in the world with more 280 films screening annually. It is an Academy Award qualifying festival. There have been 44 Oscar nominees from the L.A. Shorts Festival. Goines is excited to have multiple films in this prestigious festival. ‘It was a surprise. To have two films showing is just a blessing. I’ve worked with some fantastic people who have made this a reality,’ said Goines.
A Family Debate is directed by Corey Grant of ‘Dysfunctional Friends’ starring Meagan Good and Stacey Dash, and his latest film ‘Big Foot: Beyond the Lost Coast Tapes.’
